Learning Curve Sewing 5oz and 8oz Veg Tan on the JL

I make my bags using chrome tan leather and I’ve been practicing sewing with my new JL cylinder arm machine. A friend was considering getting one as the price delivered of less than $1600 is quite appealing. I had a few scrap pieces of 5oz and 8oz veg tan and ran them yesterday for chuckles and grins. The results are in the images.
